My Repair & Advice:
Use the screwdriver to remove the three capture screws at the rear of the washer's control panel. Tilt the control panel forward then lift it to uncover the wiring and the control board. I took pictures of the connections with my cell phone since there are around 8 or 9 connections from the washer to the control board. The board is marked for every connection, however, so it makes it pretty easy. For example, all the wires on the right-side top connection are brown and the board says "Brown" below that connection point. Remove the connections, making sure you remember which one goes where (the pictures will help a lot if you follow my example of taking detailed photos with a digital camera or phone before removing any connections). Remove the one screw from the board's bottom center, tilt the control board back from the bottom and remove. Place the new board in place and replace the screw and connections. Make sure you unplug the appliance before doing anything else - Safety First and all that... Once you are sure that you have replaced all the connections, plug the washer in to make sure that it comes on. You can then replace the control panel and tighten the three screws to secure it. All in all, this took me maybe 20 minutes and I had never done this before.

My Repair & Advice:
Un-plug the washer. Un-screw 3 screw's that hold the top control cover located in the rear. Tilt it forward and un-plug the single wire to the top. Set it aside. Then there is 1 screw holding the control board located in front center. Carefully un-plug all electrical connections. Each connection is marked for easy replacement. Remove old control board and put the new one in. Screw the 1 retainer screw in Connect all electrical connections, plug in top connection and screw lid down. Plug washer in and your done. As for the lock all you have to do is unscrew 2 screws that hold it in place unplug electrical connection plug the new one in, screw it in place.

My Repair & Advice:
Remove 3 phillips head screws that secure the front top control panel. Lift off to expose gray control board and other components. Take photos of wire placements. Control board is secured with one phillips screw in the front middle looking at the board from the front. Remove wire plugs one at a time and put in same location on the new board. The plugs have a small catch that needs to be depressed to pull out.
