My problem
Would not lock door prior to washing

My Repair & Advice:

Removed Top, unplugged switch assembly, removed and replaced. Easy to do, most time consuming part of the repair was to remove the dryer from the top of the machine to get it open.

My problem
E47 Washer would not enter in to spin mode.

My Repair & Advice:

I read the article on Parts Dr and that nailed what I needed to do in order to fix the problem. The trick was what you needed to read on the multimeter from the door lock assembly. The manual says that if you are reading approximately 1500 Ohms then its the control board. I was getting about 1100 Ohms. So what does approximately 1500 Ohms mean? After reading the article it said "Most of the failed door lock PTC's ohm out much lower than (1000-1200 ohms)." Bingo! Thats what I needed to here. I ordered the part and after recieving the part it only took 15 min to replace and I had my spin mode back. It was fast shipping and the price was a lot cheaper than going through the factory website. Excellent website.
