My problem
Symptom was that the evaporation fan did not blow which caused a warm refrigerator and a freezer that only froze on the bottom. Ice covered the coils and wiring

My Repair & Advice:

Water filter kit was for a different refrigerator - I bought it because it was a much better deal than I get at my local parts supplier since I was already paying shipping for one item. This is an easy fix - the new fan has different connectors, so it had wire caps included - just a matter of cutting the colored wires and connecting them to the same color on the fan. Very simple. Toughest part is removing the shelves and back panel - which is not tough at all...

My problem
The freezer was working but the fridge wasn't. The door to the fridge was left slightly open overnight causing the fan motor to burn out.

My Repair & Advice:

Before I start.....always unplug any appliance before repairing. The evaporator fan is located in the back of the freezer. This is the fan that transports the cold air form the freezer to the fridge compartment. Sometimes the fan can freeze up in this case you would just take off the back panel in the back of the fridge and free up the fan from ice; but if it was the case of mine then you would have to replace the motor. Always remember how you will take it apart since you will have to put it back together in the same way. You would remove the back panel with the ratchet and detach the wire harness coming from the fan motor to the fridge and remove the panel and attached motor from the freezer. You then use the ratchet to remove the motor from brackets and panel. Next simply install the new motor and put everything back together how you took it apart. Connect wire harnesses to approprate places then reattach panel back in the freezer. Plug the fridge back up and the fan should start blowing instantly!
